District administrators can use the Overall Risk Score preference to choose whether to show the Overall Risk Score for Star CBM Reading in Star CBM Data Insights and the Star CBM Caregiver Report.
The Overall Risk Score was developed to support customers who must adhere to state-level reporting requirements. The score shows you which students in grades K-2 are at risk because their composite scores are below the 20th percentile. Overall Risk Scores are a combination of selected Foundations of Literacy measures in each grade that 1) have norms across the full year and 2) are the most psychometrically useful for creating a combined indicator of risk based on performance in these literacy/reading measures; this type of combined score is most often required in state reporting. For more information, see Overall Risk Score / Percent at Risk Overall.

Choosing the Setting for Each School
Who can do this with default user permissions?
District-level administrators
In the row for each school, check the box if you want the score included in Star CBM Data Insights and the Star CBM Caregiver Report for that school. Note: If you turn the score on for some schools, but not others, when district-level personnel view Star CBM Data Insights, the Overall Risk Score will only include data from schools that have the box checked in this preference.
If you prefer to use the same setting for all schools, first, select Set All above the table.
Then, in the window that opens, choose a setting. Select Apply to All.
When you've finished choosing the preference settings, select Save Changes. Then, select < Back to go back to the list of preferences.
