Who can do this with default user permissions?
District Level Administrators
This preference is only available to users in the state of Florida.
How do I get to this page?
- Log in to Renaissance.
- On the Home page, select your initials in the upper-right corner. In the drop-down list, select Edit Preferences.
- On the Preferences page, select Block K-2 Universal Star Assessments in the District Preferences section of the page.
This preference is used to temporarily prevent students in Florida in grades K–2 from taking the standard (or "universal") Star Early Literacy, Star Reading, and Star Math assessments when they should be taking the Florida FAST versions of those tests. When this preference is set to block access, students will still see the Star Early Literacy, Star Reading, and Star Math tiles on their home page, but if they select one of these tiles they will not be allowed to take the test.
-
After you select Block K-2 Universal Star Assessments on the Preferences page, you will see your schools and the current setting of the preference at each school . Select Block access to the universal Star Assessment tiles for K-2 students in the row for a school to temporarily block K–2 students in that school from taking the universal Star Early Literacy, Star Reading, and Star Math tests; remove the check mark to remove a block that is currently set for a school. (The assessments are blocked by default.)
To set the same preference for all the schools shown at the same time, select Set All... , select Block access to the universal Star Assessment tiles for K-2 students , and then select Apply to All .
