For detailed information about the scores that fall into each benchmark category for different measures and grades, see Star CBM Lectura Score and Benchmark Tables.
Using the Table
The table lists the students in the group that you selected on the Benchmark Transitions page - the heading above the table will remind you which students you've chosen to see.
For each student and screening window, the table includes the following:
- the student's grade level (GL) at the time the assessment was administered
- the student's scores, including:
- Correct Per Minute score (or percent correct for Encoding) with a circle showing the benchmark category
- Percentile Rank score
- the measure that the student was tested on (Measure names are abbreviated; see the the tip below for more information about the measures with benchmarks available and their abbreviations.)
What are the screening windows?
Each year, Star CBM includes three screening windows, whose dates cannot be changed:
- Fall Starts on the school year start date or August 1 (whichever is earlier) and runs through November 30.
- Winter is from December 1 through March 31.
- Spring begins April 1 and runs through the end of the school year or July 31.
Which measures have benchmarks for each grade, and what are their abbreviations?
The measures that have benchmarks available for students are based on the students' grade; see the table below.
