When a student logs in to Renaissance, they will see a mySAEBRS tile on their home page:
The student can select the tile to begin taking the mySAEBRS survey.
If the student selects the tile outside of the screening window set in the mySAEBRS preference, a pop-up message will appear:
A student can only take one survey during a screening window—if the student has already taken the survey in the current screening window, a pop-up reminder will appear:
If a student is assigned to more than one class where they can take a mySAEBERS survey, they will see a pop-up window where they need to select the class they are in:
Note: Students enrolled in more than one school will not need to take separate mySAEBRS surveys for each school. The results of a mySAEBRS survey that a student takes within a district screening window will follow that student no matter which school they are in.
- After the student selects the mySAEBRS tile, a welcome message appears. The student should select Start Survey to begin the survey, or Return to Homepage if they want to leave this page without starting the survey.
On any page, the student can select Play Audio in the upper-right corner to hear the survey options read out loud (the student should wear headphones to avoid disturbing other students).
- For each question on the mySAEBRS survey, the student will be shown a statement. The student should select how often the statement is true: Never, Sometimes, Often, or Almost Always.
- The student selects an answer by clicking on it (mouse), tapping on it (tablet), or using the Tab key to highlight an answer and then selecting Enter (keyboard).
- The student can change their answer before entering it.
- Once the student has chosen the answer they want, they enter it by selecting Next Question.
A student cannot go back to a prior question.
If the student needs to stop taking the survey, they can select Exit Survey in the upper-right corner next to the question number.
This will end the survey without saving any of the student's responses. The student can still take the survey, but they will have to start over again from the beginning.
- The student will see a congratulatory message after entering the answer to the last question; they should select Finish to complete the survey.
