How do I get to this page?
- Log in to Renaissance.
- On the Home page, select your initials in the upper-right corner. In the drop-down list, select Manage Apps & Users.
- On the Manage Apps & Users page, select School Calendar.
- On the School Calendar page, select the Days Off tab.
- Select Add Day Off to add a new day off, or select Edit in the row for an existing day off to edit it.
Who can do this with default user permissions?
District Level Administrators, District Staff, School Level Administrators, School Staff
You can use days off to record holidays, non-teaching days, and other occasions when school is not in session. Renaissance uses this information to calculate the number of actual school days in the school year or a reporting period; this number is used when Accelerated Reader makes recommendations for point goals.
Adding Days Off
- Enter a name for the days off in the Name field .
- Select the Date Range field and enter start and end dates for the days off, either by typing them in the date fields or selecting them from the scrollable calendars .
For a single day off, select the same date for the start and end date.
- When you are done choosing dates, select Apply (or Cancel to close the calendar without saving your choices).
- Use the Schools drop-down list to choose which schools the days off should apply to. (School administrators and school staff will only see the schools they have access to.)
- Select Add .
The days off will be added to the table at the bottom of the page . If necessary, you can select Edit to make changes to the days off, or Delete to delete them. - Select Done to save the days off.
Editing Days Off
You can make changes to any of the information defining days off.
- Select Edit in the row for existing days off to edit them.
- Change the name for the days off in the Name field .
- Select the Date Range field and enter new start and/or end dates for the days off, either by typing them in the date fields or selecting them from the scrollable calendars .
For a single day off, select the same date for the start and end date.
- When you are done choosing dates, select Apply (or Cancel to close the calendar without saving your choices).
- Use the Schools Using drop-down list to change which schools the days off should apply to. (School administrators and school staff will only see the schools they have access to.)
- Select Save to save the changes to the days off (or Cancel to leave this page without saving your changes).
- You will return to the Days Off tab; your edited dates will be in the table at the bottom.
