- The “FAST Paper-Based Form” Alternate Response accommodation only applies to grade K–2 students taking the Star Reading or Star Math assessments in Florida.
- The "Paper-based State Test Form" Alternate Response accommodation only applies to grade Pre-K and K students taking the Star Early Literacy, Star Math, Star Alfabetización temprana, or Star Matemáticas assessments in Maryland.
How do I get to this page?
- Log in to Renaissance.
- On the Home page:
- Renaissance Next (for Teachers or Leaders): Select Star in the sidebar, then select either Star Reading or Star Math.
- Legacy Mode: Select either Star Reading or Star Math.
- In the drop-down list, select Record Book.
- After you use the options on the Latest Assessments tab of the Record Book page to choose which students to view, select the Enter Paper Responses button under a student's name.
- After making your selections on the Paper-Based Assessment page (subject, form, test format, and test date), select Enter Paper Responses.
Note: You can also get to the Record Book by selecting Star Record Book on the Star / Assessment tab of the Reports page, under “Screening and Instructional Planning.”
Who can do this with default user permissions?
District Level Administrators, District Staff, School Level Administrators, School Staff, Teachers
- Double-check the information at the top of the page (subject, student name, etc.) to make sure you are using the right form.
- Once the student has finished the assessment on the paper form, enter their answers on this page by clicking on the response they gave for each question . Select No Response if the student did not answer a question.
- If you enter the wrong response, just select the correct one to change it.
- Every question needs a response; if you leave any questions without a response, you will see an error message when you try to submit the responses.
- Once you are done entering the student's responses, select Submit for Scoring at the bottom.
- If there is a problem (for example, you realize after entering all the responses that you have chosen the wrong form), select Discard Assessment at the bottom of the page. In the pop-up window, select Discard Assessment to leave this page without submitting the student's responses, or select Continue Editing to close the pop-up and remain on this page.
