Although scores are not based on how quickly students answer questions, there is a time limit for answering each test question. If some of your students require more time to read and answer Star Reading Spanish test questions, you can extend the time limits for those students by setting the Extended Question Time Limit Preference.
This is the amount of time students have to answer each test question, based on the students' grade and whether they are using standard or extended time limits:

Students in all grades get 120 seconds (2m 0s) to answer practice questions (which the Extended Question Time Limit Preference will extend to 300 seconds (5m 0s)).
Fifteen seconds before the time limit is up for a question, the program will flash a picture of a clock on the screen. When this happens, the student should make his or her best guess as soon as possible. If the student does not enter an answer before time runs out, the question will disappear, and the program will notify the student that time has run out. Then, the next question will appear.
